Born in Detroit, raised in Fort Collins, Chris Miranda went on to graduate from Standford University in 1979. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Law, graduating in 1982. He joined Gerash and Robinson to create Gerash Robinson & Miranda. After 15 years he left that firm and formed Miranda and Alonzi with Stephen Alonzi. He also taught classes at CU and DU.
Mr. Miranda was president of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association and served on the Colorado Bar Association’s board of governors. In 2001 he was name the Outstanding Hispanic Lawyer by the Hispanic Bar Association. He lobbied to have more Hispanics appointed the Federal bench.
He is remembered as a highly effective negotiator with high ethical standards.
