January Meeting: What’s Going on With the Colorado Judiciary?
In February, 2021 Denver Post reporter, David Migoya, published an article that led with the
following headline: “Colorado Judicial Department gave $2.5 million contract to prevent tell-all
sex discrimination lawsuit about judges’, court officials’ misconduct. Former chief
administrator says deal was approved at the highest levels.”
The first paragraph read: “Colorado court officials — including the chief justice of the Supreme
Court — were trying to ensure the personal misconduct of nearly two dozen judges and
administrators remained secret when they gave a multi-million-dollar contract to a former
Judicial Department employee who threatened to expose it all if she was fired, according to the
agency’s former chief administrator.”
Our program, What Is Going on With the Colorado Judiciary? is going to take a brief look at this
article; and several other news articles and two reports that hopefully will answer that question.
Meeting is January 19, 2023. Please email sotomayorinn@gmail.com for more information.
